The 3rd Annual Yoakum County Tamale Festival Is Underway

The exciting 3rd Annual Denver City (Yoakum County) Tamale Festival kicks off Thursday night December 5th and rolls through the weekend at Stuffy Moorehead Park in Denver City.

This is a tremendous event for the whole family. Tamale lovers and everyone who enjoys a great celebration complete with a variety of vendors and activities needs to be there. Enjoy plenty to keep all ages entertained including a parade, petting zoo, face painting, food, live music and more!

Visit Santa and enjoy a Parade of Lights Friday night. Saturday it's a volleyball tournament, and Best Tamale competition and Tamale Eating contest

See tremendous live music and entertainment from Jere Lowe, Bobby G and the Galaxy Band and Los Culpables.

I am really looking forward to this and will be out to emcee the Tamale Eating Contest Saturday at 4:15! We will have plenty of prizes up for grabs. So make plans to join us for this fun-filled event.
