The Red Raiders weren't perfect and Kevin McCullar went down with what looked like a gruesome ankle injury in the first half, but they went on a prolific run to open the second half against TCU and never looked back.

The TCU Horned Frogs scored 28 points in the opening 10 minutes of the first half, getting out to a double-digit lead early. Texas Christian was doing it with the long ball too, hitting more threes than they average in a complete game in the first 12 minutes of the contest. Mark Adams' team didn't flinch, however. They took TCU's best punch and then threw a haymaker back.

After scoring those 28 points in the first 10 minutes, TCU would score 12 points in the final 10 minutes of the half. Texas Tech would also close the deficit from its largest point at 12, down to three at halftime.

Texas Tech would close the half with plays like this from Terrence Shannon Jr., who had one of his best games of the season in front of the home crowd.

Shannon finished with 20 points leading all scorers. Bryson Williams added 16 points and four rebounds. Davion Warren and Adonis Arms both also hit double digits. The Red Raiders opened the second half on a 29-7 run that was part of a much larger run that started in the first half.

Texas Tech would take over the lead less than a minute into the second half and never looked back. After the game, Bryson Williams credited the crowd of the United Supermarkets Arena for being amazing.

TCU players echoed Williams' sentiments from the game.

Texas Tech is one of 8 venues in the country to have a 15,000-seat arena more than 90 percent full. There's no coincidence that Texas Tech is now 15-0 at home. Next up is Baylor, who comes to Lubbock on Wednesday, February 16th for a white-out game.
