The Texas Rangers signed eight players to 2012 contracts Thursday.

Craig Gentry, a candidate to be the Rangers starting center fielder, and first baseman Mitch Moreland are among the last eight players to agree to contracts with Texas.

With the finalized deals the two-time defending American League champions have every player on their 40-man roster under contract.

Moreland, who had arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist in November, got a $491,100 deal. He was bothered by wrist soreness much of last season after hitting .462 in the 2010 World Series as a rookie.

Gentry, who hit .271 in 133 at-bats and was 18-of-18 on stolen bases last season, gets $484,300.

The others who agreed to deals were catcher Luis Martinez, infielder Brandon Snyder, left-hander Kelvin De La Cruz, and right-handers Cody Eppley, Neil Ramirez and Matt West.
