Texas Rangers Grab a 2-0 Victory Over the Chicago White Sox

Texas Ranger Scott Feldman, known for his 0-6 start earlier this season, has nearly evened up his record on the season at 5-6 by beating the Chicago White Sox 2-0. On the night, Feldman gave up seven hits and retired 8 of the last 10 batters he matched up against on the night. Joe Nathan came in for the save, his 21st on the season.

Other than Feldman, David Murphy was the star of the night, recording 3 hits on the night, but unfortunately did not rake in any RBIs. That trend was not unique to Murphy as the Rangers were 0-10 on the night with runners in scoring position. Nelson Cruz and Josh Hamilton scored the runs for the Rangers, but 0-10 with RISP is an appalling statistic that the Rangers must rectify if they hope to make postseason play with the Angels creeping up at just 4.5 games back.

Also, with news coming out that Feliz return to the majors being postponed for health reasons, and Zach Grienke going to the Angels, the Rangers need their offense to be pumping on all cylinders if they hope to outpace the Angels in the later part of the season.
