The Texas Rangers extended offers to seven of their arbitration-eligible veterans prior to Monday night’s 11 p.m. CT deadline, but chose not to tender right-handed reliever Fabio Castillo.

The 22-year-old Castillo now becomes a free agent after spending the past six season in the Rangers’ Minor League System.

Texas tendered offers to all seven of its arbitration-eligible players in catcher Mike Napoli, shortstop Elvis Andrus, outfielders David Murphy and Nelson Cruz, left-handed pitcher Matt Harrison and right-handed relievers Mark Lowe and Mike Adams.
