Texas Rangers Agree to Terms With 13 Players
The Texas Rangers agreed to terms with 13 of their younger players on contracts for 2012 Monday, leaving just eight members of the 40-man roster still unsigned.
Arguably the biggest news among the group is the club agreeing with starting pitcher Derek Holland. The two-sides had been in discussions for a long term deal. It’s still possible the Rangers could get an extension done with Holland.
Here are the 13 who agreed (salaries in parentheses; the major league minimum has jumped to $480,000 this season:
