West Texas has been feeling the heat with triple digits over the past week. No matter how many times you experience the brutal temperatures that August brings, you always seem to forget just how bad it is as the next year comes around.
Despite the small break from the Texas summer heat we experienced in late July, the weather is back with a vengeance as it decides to scorch Lubbock with several triple digit days in the coming week.
This weather event is impacting Texas the most from July 22nd to the 26th, but the current Lubbock forecast is showing a continuation of temps below 100 after the first few days of August.
Things like wide-brim hats, fans, staying in the shade, and enjoying a cold drink are always good things, but sometimes you want to try something different.
