Suddenlink Is Rebranding to Optimum
Altice USA is changing the name of Suddenlink. The announcement, made earlier this week, will end the Suddenlink brand as Suddenlink's services will all become Optimum by the end of 2022.
The Optimum brand was first unveiled by Cablevision last decade, which mainly operated in the eastern US. Cablevision was purchased by Altice in 2016, which continued using the Optimum name.
Right now, Suddenlink operates in 12 states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and West Virginia. In those states, Suddenlink's Internet network will be converted to a new 100 percent fiber-optic network. In addition, Optimum Mobile, will be operated on the T-Mobile network.
The following message about the change was posted on Suddenlink's website:
Though keeping you connected to what you love has always been our number one goal, we understand that at Suddenlink, we have not always gotten it right. In taking important steps to do better by you, we’re excited to announce that Suddenlink is becoming Optimum.

This year we're excited to be hiring thousands of local employees across the country, opening more than 70 retail stores, and raising wages for our customer service teams to bring you better service every day.
In Lubbock, across most of West Texas and along parts of the Texas Gulf Coast, Suddenlink entered a number of markets after buying out the assets of COX Communications in 2006.
