The Lubbock Police Department is investigating an alleged shooting that took place at an apartment complex in West Lubbock.
According to a police report, the shooting was reported at about 12:35 p.m. on Monday, September 14, at the New West Apartments in the 5400 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway.
Police say the shooting broke out after a group of people got into an argument inside one of the apartments. At least two suspects are said to be responsible for inciting the violence.
One victim claims to have been put into a choke-hold and held at gunpoint. One of the suspects is also accused of shooting multiple times towards a bedroom that had other people inside.
One suspect was reportedly shot in the back and later dropped off at the University Medical Center, where they are currently receiving treatment.
Police have not said whether or not anyone has been arrested for the shooting, but they are searching for a silver Nissan SUV that may have a connection to the shooting.
