Shin-Soo Choo Selected to First All-Star Game
The Texas Rangers will have one representative playing the 89th All-Star Game on July 17 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
On Sunday, it was announced that outfielder/designated hitter Shin-Soo Choo will be make his first appearance in an All-Star Game. 2018 is Choo's 15th season in the major leagues and he's been one of the Rangers best players this year.
Through July 8th, Choo is hitting .293 with a .399 on-base percentage, 17 home runs, 42 RBI, and 56 walks. In the first half of the 2018 season, Choo set a Rangers record by reaching base in 47 consecutive games.
Choo is also the first Korean-born position player to make an All-Star game.
