The San Francisco Giants beat the Detroit Tigers 2-0 to take a 2-0 lead in the World Series.

The Giants got things going in the seventh inning with Hunter Pence scoring the first run off a Brandon Crawford double-play ground out.  In the next inning, Hunter Pence hit a sacrfice fly ball that enabled Angel Pagan to score the insurance run to secure the victory.

Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner took the win after striking out eight in seven innings.  Bumgarner and two relievers combined to only give up two hits in the shutout.

Tigers pitcher Doug Fister took the lost after giving up four hits and one run in six innings.

The teams are off today, but resume action tomorrow in Detroit for Game 3 of the World Series.  On the mound for the Giants is Ryan Vogelsong while the Tigers will have Anibal Sanchez on the mound.  First pitch is at 7:07 pm.
