Restaurants Opening In Lubbock In 2015

As a self-proclaimed foodie, I love trying new places for food. And 2014 was a good year in Lubbock if you're into gastro delights: Alamo Drafthouse, Cowboy Chicken and Twisted Root Burger Co. are a few that come to mind.

Here are a few more places opening in 2015 worth getting excited about.

I'm sadly disappointed that there aren't many boutique-style local restaurants on the radar. We seem to be in the eternal land of a million franchises! (Will someone PLEASE open a great authentic Asian place? One that preferably leans toward Vietnamese with proper Pho technique. Is that too much to ask?!)

Twin Peaks
There's no such thing as too many sports bars, and one that has a hot serving staff is simply a big plus.
Think Hooter's with better food served in plaid instead of burnt orange!

Bienvenidos mas Tex-Mex!

Legends Pizzeria Grill and Chill
Deep dish Chicago-style pizza (going by their Facebook page), this may be more a project in planning than an actual opening eatery. Fingers crossed.

Russo's New York Pizza
OK, so maybe I have a thing for pizza. Truth be told, while I like Chicago-style pizza, my heart is in the Big Apple. Give me thin crust, sweet, spicy sauce and the hopes of anchovies and pancetta any day. Can't wait to fold a slice!
