
Overnight Hit and Run Leaves One Person Injured
Early on Tuesday, August 11, at approximately 12:30 a.m. patrol officers responded to a hit and run accident in the 1900 block of 50th Street.
Lubbock police lieutenant Ray Mendoza said via press release that a 51-year-old female who has not been named was crossing 50th street when she was hit by a black four-door passenger car traveling westbound. The car did not stop and offer aid or call for help.
The victim was later transported to Covenant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
