
NOAA Winter Weather Predictions for Lubbock: Colder, Wetter Than Last Year
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released its winter weather outlook for 2014-15. Lubbock and surrounding areas in west Texas could be in for a cool, wet winter.

According to the NOAA, the south will generally be wetter than average.
Lubbock is in the area of Texas that has a 33 percent chance to be wetter this year, while the majority of the state has a more than 40 percent chance to be wetter during the 2014-15 winter season.
Temperature-wise, the NOAA believes Lubbock County will see cooler weather, too. Lubbock has a 33 percent chance of seeing cooler weather this winter.
