The Scurry County Sheriff’s Office has given new charges to two suspects involved in a 2016 homicide case.

KAMC News reports in January 2016, the bodies of 29-year-old Benjamyn Bruns and 25-year-old Joshua Hoover were found underneath a home in Snyder. The bodies had been stabbed and shot.

Later that year, 26-year-old Juan Barron and 31-year-old Jamai Nicole Dabney were arrested for tampering with evidence, but not charged with murder.

Today (May 10, 2018), Barron was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and tampering with evidence. Dabney was arrested and charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Court records state that Barron and Dabney told police that two people had broke into their home. And after the incident, moved the bodies underneath the house. They did not report the break-in or the violence until later.
