A Midland, Texas man who was reported missing earlier this month was found dead Monday afternoon.

The Midland Police Department reports 25-year-old Nathaniel Machuca was said to have left Midland on April 3rd to visit family in Andrews, but never made it there.

EverythingLubbock reports authorities impounded his vehicle after it was towed from 1214 Desert Rose Drive in Midland. An unidentified man allegedly parked the vehicle and fled the scene.

Around 1 p.m. on April 11th, officers were called for reports of a body in the area of State Highway 349 in Midland County. The body was identified as Machuca. As of the publication of this story, Machuca's cause of death is unknown. An autopsy has been requested and authorities are investigating possible foul play.
