Twrnty-five-year-old Emmanuel Quinones, the man who brought a semi-automatic rifle to a Black Lives Matter protest in Lubbock, has pleaded guilty to making threats.
KAMC News reports that Quinones was charged via criminal complaint in early June and indicted a week later. He pleaded guilty to interstate threatening communications via video teleconference on Friday, September 11th.
At the protest, Quinones refused a Lubbock Police officer's commands to drop the rifle, only doing so when the officer drew his gun.
Back in May, Quinones posted on Facebook that he planned on obtaining gun parts to "off racists and MAGA people."
Quinones faces up to 5 years in federal prison.
