City of Lubbock Ends Water Conservation Measures for 2017
The City of Lubbock is reminding its water customers that tomorrow the city’s seasonal time of day water conservation measures end.
Starting on Sunday (Oct. 1), each customer can irrigate any time during the day on their assigned days.
Addresses ending in 0, 3, 4 or 9 are Monday and Thursday. Addresses ending in 1, 5 or 6 are Tuesday and Friday. And addresses ending in 2, 7 or 8 are Wednesday and Saturday.
This schedule is an important part of conservation efforts on the South Plains. From April 1 to September 30 of each year, no irrigation is allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to avoid the loss of water.
Citizens can visit the City of Lubbock Water Department website for more information.
