Lubbock Police Need Help Finding Suspect Who Hit a Pedestrian Back in August
The Lubbock Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating the suspect responsible for hitting a pedestrian with their vehicle in August 2022.
The incident itself happened in the 5200 block of the Marsha Sharp Freeway a bit before 6:30 p.m. This was on Thursday, August 25th, 2022.
KAMC News reports that the suspect, a Hispanic woman, was going to leave a cocktail bar without paying, so the victim, am off-duty employee, moved to get a better view of the license plate so she could take a picture. The suspect noticed this and accelerated towards the victim, causing her to jump on the hood of the car to avoid being run over.
The victim held onto the hood as the suspect starting going even faster. The victim yelled at the suspect, but she didn't seem like she was slowing down at all. The vehicle turned, and the victim let go of the hood of the car, falling to the pavement.
The victim suffered several injuries, but refused being transported to a hospital by EMS.
