Lubbock Police Identify Person Killed in Attempted Murder-Suicide

New information involving an attempted murder-suicide that occurred New Year’s morning in south Lubbock has been released.

The injured male has been identified as 25-year-old Bo Cowling. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. The female victim, 25-year-old Brittney Webb, is currently in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The department would not specify which of the two was the shooter.

The shooting occurred in the 3200 block of 110th Street just before 3 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2018.

The Lubbock Police Department says that no arrests or charges are expected in this investigation, though it remains an active death investigation.
