Lubbock Police Conducting Follow-Up Crash Investigations
The Lubbock Police Department's Major Crash Investigation Unit will be conducting follow-up crash investigations the morning of Thursday, January 28th.
According to a release from LPD, there will be 3 follow-up crash investigations.
The first one will begin at the Marsha Sharp Freeway eastbound access road and University Avenue. The University eastbound exit ramp from Marsha Sharp, the eastbound access road and the northbound and southbound lanes of University Avenue will be closed during this investigation, which will begin at 8:30 a.m. It is expected to last around 3 hours.
Then, crews will move to the 4600 block of 4th Street. The eastbound lanes will be closed during this investigation, and it's expected to last roughly an hour and a half.
And finally, the Major Crash Investigation Unite will move to East 50th Street and Southeast Drive. All eastbound traffic will be closed at this intersection. This is also expected to last around an hour and a half.
Motorists are asked to avoid all of these areas and to use alternate routes, as delays are to be expected. The Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Department of Transportation will be assisting in these investigations.
