Lubbock Lions Club Annual Pancake Festival This Saturday
The world’s largest pancake festival will open up shop in Lubbock this Saturday.
The Lubbock Lions Club set a world record for the most pancakes served in an 8-hour period at their annual Pancake Festival in 2009. According to the Lubbock Lions, 5,5000 pounds of pancake mix, 57,600 sausage links, 18,000 orange juice canisters, 21,000 milk cartons, 36,000 ounces of syrup were used during the record breaking day feeding 17,500.
Tickets can be purchased on-line until Friday at $6. On the day of the event, tickets will cost $7. Tokens can also be purchased for amenities including face-painting, balloons and cotton candy.
The Lubbock Lions have donated to charities in the past including the American Red Cross South Plains, CASA of Lubbock, Habitat for Humanity and Hospice of Lubbock.
