The Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaps had six players in double figures as LCU took down Northwestern Oklahoma State University 87-57. The win for the Chaps was coach Steve Gomez's 200th career victory.

In the game, the Lady Chaps started strong and jumped out big early. Emily Atkins set the tone for the Lady Chaps hitting an opening three pointer, and going 3-3 from behind the arc in the opening half. Freshman Kelsey Hoppel also contributed from behind the line to give LCU an early 22-8 lead. LCU shot a season best 58% from the field, and 10-18 from behind the line. The accuracy from behind the arc led LCU to a 43-25 halftime lead. In the second half LCU went on a huge run to give them a 71-39 lead.

Kelsey Canavan led LCU with 20 points, Hoppel had 16, Atkins chipped in 15, and April Ehlers had 13. Overall it was a very solid effort from LCU, who move on to the second round of the SAC tournament.
