Lubbock Businesses Support Children’s Hospital for Third Year
Covenant Health Foundation is partnering with various Lubbock business for the third year in a row to help children. The goal behind this partnership is to raise money for Covenant Children's Hospital, which is the only faith-based, licensed, free-standing children's hospital in West Texas.
The Champions for Children campaign raises funds to help support level 4 Neonatal ICU and the Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Unit. Funds also support and help maintain the hospital as they are the region’s only pediatric and obstetric transport team, the region’s only pediatric outpatient relational health unit, and the region’s only hospital with 24-hour pediatric intensivists.
The way community members can participate in this event is by donating at least $1 (feel free to donate more if you can) when they are checking out at any of the participating businesses. When you donate you do get to write you name on those Children's kites that are usually displayed on the walls of businesses. A complete list of those businesses can be found below.
- Carpet Tech
- One Guy from Italy
- Taco Villa
- Keva Juice
- Buffalo Wild Wings (all 3 locations)
- Something Different Grill (both locations)
- Toot N’ Totum (all Lubbock, Lamesa, and Plainview locations)
All money raised from this campaign will stay local in Lubbock to help children from Texas and New Mexico that come for treatment. This campaign will last for two weeks at the 30 participating businesses and will end on October 25. More detailed information about the Champions for Children campaign can be found online.
