Looks Like CiCi’s in Lubbock Couldn’t Pay the Rent
I have been a fan of CiCi's since the days when it was $2.99 and I had to scrounge around for change to buy dinner. But it looks like the 50th Street location is no more, at least for now.
While driving around, I noticed the sign had been painted over and there was a note in the window. Not a good sign. Looks like the rent was behind by quite a bit.
The sign, written by attorney BJ Huey, reads:
This letter shall also serve as landlord's notice of lockout under Section 93.002 of the Texas Property Code to tenant and is posted on the front door of the premise. To pay the delinquent rent and obtain a new key, please contact Jan True with landlord at 972-867-1100 during normal business hours. A new key may also be obtained in person from landlord's agent during regular business hours at Netco Investments, Inc., 1800 Preston Park Blvd., Suite 104, Plano, TX, 75093.
Please reach out to Jan True with Landlord regarding all above requests and if you have any further questions.
Hopefully, someone pays the rent and gets Cici's back open soon.
