Long Distance Ski Jumper Flies to New World Record [VIDEO]
Norway's Johan Remen Evensen has soared his way into the record books as the new world recorder holder in the ski jump. Evensen's jump of 246.5 meters, or 808 feet, 8 inches, broke his own world record by 3 meters.
Just to give you an idea of how long the jump actually was, a regulation football field is 100 yards, or 300 feet. So Evensen's jump was the length of 2 and a half football fields. That's also roughly 5 times the distance I run yearly.
