This past Saturday night (November 14th), KLBK-TV news anchor Terri Furman announced why she has been off the air recently: she's been diagnosed with COVID-19.

"I am now part of the statistic that has tested Positive for Covid-19 (sic). I was diagnosed Tuesday [November 10] and have had a rough go of things," Furman said on Facebook.

Furman has been the long-time evening anchor at KLBK, co-hosting the Trends & Friends lifestyle show, plus anchoring weeknight newscasts at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Furman's Facebook post also stated:

I am begging you to please take care of yourself and your family and even complete strangers. Wear your mask. It may not present with bad symptoms for you but it might for someone else. Our hospitals and staff are exhausted. They need our help. I won’t get to see the outside world again until the 23rd but I pray that day comes swiftly. I know holidays are coming up but please be safe and think. No one likes change and no one likes to be told what to do, but it we all do our part things can get back to normal sooner than later. My prayers for all of you who are struggling with this virus. You aren’t alone. Stay strong! Oh and is it 2021 yet?
