El Paso Gets a Taste of Fall as Cold Front Moves Through
Ok, who upset Mother Nature?! Because these winds are no joke! El Paso is getting a little taste of fall with cooler temperatures, wind and just a touch of chaos to kick off the weekend!
A cold front pushed through the Borderland overnight Thursday, making for a much colder and windier Friday. The gloomy skies and chilly breeze are a big change from the warmer temperatures we’ve been enjoying, making today the perfect excuse to grab a blanket, stay cozy and warm up with a big bowl of caldo or your favorite soup.
The good news? The wind won’t stick around forever! The bad news: more rain is expected for next week.

Breezy conditions are expected to continue into Saturday, with temperatures remaining cool. If you plan on doing any pre-Halloween parties, make sure to take a jacket with your costume because Saturday night is expected to be dipping down to 49 degrees overnight.
Sunday is shaping up to be a much more pleasant day, with sunny skies and a high near 69 degrees. The warmer weather continues Monday, when temperatures are expected to climb to around 78 degrees under sunny skies.
Then comes the changes: Rain Returns To El Paso
Don’t put away your rain gear just yet. Another round of storm chances is expected to move into the Borderland early next week.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday night, increasing to 40% Tuesday night. Storm chances continue Wednesday and Thursday, with the highest probability reaching 50% Wednesday night.
For now, enjoy the cooler temperatures and a little fall-like weather while it lasts. El Paso’s weekend forecast looks pleasant, but Mother Nature may have a few more surprises waiting for us next week! *sigh*
