(Lafayette, Louisiana) - When you are out in public in Acadiana, you probably see people do things that annoy you, and that's why we were asking what it is that you wish people would stop doing.

Look, we all have one or two things people do in public that annoy us. Now let's look at what seems to be the Top 10 things that annoy people in Acadiana and need to stop.

See if any of these things that people do here annoy you too.

Driving too aggressively or tailgating

Way too many do this in Acadiana, and if we all slow down and take a deep breath, there may be fewer accidents.

Blocking Intersections

How many times have you seen someone blocking an intersection where you need to turn? Apparently, it happens a lot, and some have seen enough of this.

Littering

Acadiana continues to battle litter, and honestly, I don't know why people do this. Too many communities here are having to pick up someone else's mess, and this needs to stop.

Not Using Turn Signals

I know that we are all in a hurry and distracted these days, but it's time drivers start using their turn signals. The feature is there for a reason; let's use it.

A number of respondents said they wish people would stop panhandling in Acadiana. Yes, we are seeing more people these days at intersections asking for money, and some think it has gotten out of hand.

Unnecessary Stopping at Roundabouts

So many of you said people learn to use roundabouts now that we have so many of them in the area, and many wish people understood that they don't always need to come to a complete stop when traffic isn't approaching.

Speeding and Racing

Some drivers continue to speed and race in Acadiana, putting themselves and others in danger. Like littering, this needs to stop too.

Using A Phone While Driving

In Louisiana, it's against the law to hold your cell phone while driving, yet some people still do, and it's a distraction. If caught, you can face a fine of up to $100.

Driving Too Slow

The second most votes for what people need to stop doing in Lafayette and Acadiana went to driving too slow. A number of people said too many drivers go below the speed limit, which impedes traffic.

Running Red Lights

The number one thing that respondents said needs to stop is people driving through red lights at intersections. This is a major problem in Lafayette, and it's very dangerous. Just because the light turns green doesn't always mean you should just go.

Always look before driving through an intersection because apparently some people do not care about your safety.
