Woman in Lafayette Thinks Ghost May Be Opening Shed Door at Night

(Lafayette, Louisiana) - Spooky Season is here, and one Lafayette woman is asking if there could be a ghost on her property after a shed door opened on its own, setting off the alarm.

We've all heard stories about potential ghosts in Louisiana, and while the stories are great, adding a video of suspicious activity makes them even better.

Janie Varisco recently posted a video from her backyard in Lafayette that shows the door to their shed opening on its own at night, and when it does, the alarm attached to the dwelling goes off.

Ghost Video From Louisiana

As you will see and hear in the video below, there's a "click" as soon as the door opens on its own, and the door does not seem to open due to the wind. We should also note that no one appears in the property's security video.

I asked Janie if there has been suspicious activity on her property, and she said yes, but she and her family are not scared of the ghost-like activity.

She told me she's heard loud noises, like bowling balls being dropped in her attic, and that strange things happen when loved ones who've passed are around.

Janie says that when her late father is around, she can smell coffee in her house, and that when her mother's spirit is near, she often finds money in strange places in her house. So, Janie's property does sound like a hotbed for roaming spirits.

Now, let's get to the video that she posted on Facebook that shows the door to this shed opening in the middle of the night. What caused this door to open? I encourage you to turn up the sound and listen to the "click" as the door opens. I warn you, once the alarm goes off in the video, it is really loud.

Janie tells me that she and her husband checked the lock and it works properly, and that the door cannot be opened when locked, which makes this even more interesting.

So, let's all put on our Facebook detective hats and let's see what is really happening in this strange video from Lafayette.
