Amarillo is a place where we love conventions and gatherings. We have gun shows, knife shows, and as of late, we've been having a lot more sports card shows. Hey, that makes me happy. I love collecting cards...when I have the time and money, of course.

Hobbies can be expensive, and over the years, my hobby has exploded with so many people getting involved in it. Cards are more expensive and tougher to find, so when I do have the money and time to dive in, sports card shows are exactly what I look for.

Another Collectibles Show In Amarillo

One problem I personally have is that these shows always fall on a weekend when my son has a baseball tournament, so I never get to attend any. This weekend will be different, because there is no baseball tournament for his team, so I'm gearing up.

The West Texas Collector's Expo is back at the Amarillo Civic Center this weekend, October 17th. The show will be happening from 10 am to 6 pm, and you can bet I'll probably be there for all eight hours of the show.

What To Expect

At this particular show, you can expect it to be very heavy on cards. Not just sports cards, but Pokémon, One Piece, Magic, Lorcana, and so many more. Lately, there have been some very interesting card releases such as Topps Chrome Marvel and Disney.

Tickets can be purchased in advance by going to their website, and they're only $5 for admission. Bring your cards with you, as there is always plenty of purchasing and trading that happens with the dealers.
