Texas Tech Football may have lost to TCU on Saturday, but its kicker, Reese Burkhardt, won the hearts and support of Trump supporters around the nation for a bold move he pulled after scoring a touchdown on a trick play against TCU.

Burkhardt had lined up to attempt a 22-yard field goal attempt, but it was a fake kick called by Texas Tech and Burkhardt ran the ball into the end zone for a touchdown. After Burkharrdt scored, he lifted his jersey to reveal the homemade "Trump 24, MAGA" shirt. The play came as Texas Tech trailed TCU 14-3.

It was a quick celebration and the cameras barely caught the shirt and message, but fans in the end zone sure did see the Trump endorsement from the Texas Tech kicker.

And of course, the moment went viral and national. Even the X (formally Twitter) account for the Trump campaign took notice and sent out the video.

While some fans were happy to see the endorsement, and some fans even calling the celebration and endorsement "brave". There were some others who weren't too happy about the move or with a player endorsing a Presidential candidate during the game.

As of this writing neither the Big 12 or Texas Tech has commented on the shirt or celebration. Will they? It wouldn't surprise me. Of course, if Texas Tech is unhappy about the celebration they may just "handle" it inside and not release much of a comment.

Besides, more Texas Tech fans seem to be upset about the come from behind win by TCU than a political message written on a shirt.
