The Rangers defeated the Baltimore Orioles 7-1 in Game 3 of the Best of 5 American League Divisional Series. The Rangers took both games 1 and 2 in Baltimore before completing the sweep on Tuesday night in Arlington.

The Rangers also swept the Tampa Bay Rays in the Wild Card series. In other words, the Texas Rangers are playing great baseball right now which is good, because it won't get any easier.

The Rangers will face either the Houston Astros or the Minnesota Twins in the American League Championship Series. Houston faces Minnesota in Game 4 of that series and leads the best of 5 series 2-1. If the Astros win on Wednesday, the Rangers would face the Astros in game 1 on Sunday. The Astros and Twins play at 6:07 p.m. Wednesday instead of an early afternoon game as was previously scheduled.  No matter who ends up winning the series between the Astros and Twins, game 1 is Sunday, October 15.

A reported crowd of 40,861 packed Globe Life Field on Tuesday for Game 3 of the ALCS. The crowd set an attendance record for Globe Life Field.

So now the Texas Rangers get to rest (for at least a day) and then prepare for what should be a great ALCS, and what could be a Texas Showdown between the Rangers and Astros.
