Numerous students have lost their legal status to be in the United States after their visas were revoked and legal status terminated according to different reports. The students attended Texas Tech University, The University of Texas, and Texas A&M.

Officials at the three Universities discovered that some international students had their visas "quietly" revoked last week.

Texas Tech Students Lose Visas

According to a report out earlier today, Texas Tech University confirmed that three students who were enrolled in classes this semester have had their visas revoked by the federal government. No reason has been given for why they lost their legal status.

Student Visas Revoked At Texas A&M and University of Texas

According to Chron.com, students at Texas A&M and the University of Texas have also lost student visas. The largest group was at Texas A&M where fifteen students had their student visas terminated by authorities. According to Chron.com, University officials at Texas A&M looked into some of the cases and found that there were some students who had offenses that had been resolved. For example, one student had a speeding ticket.

At the University of Texas, only two students had lost their student visas. One from India and the other from Lebanon.

There has been a crackdown on those on student visas who have committed criminal acts in the United States since President Trump took office.
