More Severe Weather Targets Lubbock and the Texas Panhandle, Tornadoes and Huge Hail Possible

Here we go again!

It's that time of year where it seems as though there is always a risk of severe weather. Don't get me wrong, we need the rain and even though much of our area has been under thunderstorm watches and warnings recently, not all of us have seen rain.

On Thursday, most of the major storms were to the north and east of Lubbock. Today's weather forecast is much more centered over Lubbock than yesterday's storm predictions. Still, there is no guarantee that we will all see rain on Friday.

Severe Weather Possible for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and Panhandle

According to the National Weather Service, today's severe weather could set up a little bit like yesterday. Storms will begin to develop late this afternoon and evening and continue tonight.

The National Weather Service says our area has an "enhanced to "slight risk". Tornadoes are possible and max hail size could be anywhere from baseball to DVD size hail. That's pretty big. There is also a chance of flash flooding.
