Quailapalooza Is Coming To The National Ranching Heritage Center
Another hands-on great event is coming to the National Ranching Heritage Center. It's called Quailapalooza and it will be open to kids between the ages of 5 and 12 who want to learn more about Quail and how they are studied.
During Quailapalooza, those participating will get a "hands-on" range experience that focuses on the Northern Bobwhite Quail. The entire experience is presented by Texas Tech and Quail-Tech. Those participating will get to see live quail and learn about their natural habitat, learn about nesting, and much more according to a press release.
“For many ranchers, the Northern Bobwhite Quail is a treasured rangeland inhabitant. Unfortunately, bobwhite populations are declining throughout their historic range in Texas,” said Dr. Brad Dabbert, Burnett Foundation Endowed Professor of Quail Ecology.
The program costs $5 for non-members and is free to Ranching Heritage Association members. To register for the event, visit ranchingheritage.org. Limited space is available.
