Man Arrested for Third Time on Same Charges in Lubbock Restaurant
A man was arrested for very serious charges while at a restaurant in South Lubbock. The Texas Department of Public Safety made an arrest on Monday at a fast food restaurant in the 5100 block of 98th street. It was there that officers arrested 28-year-old Tavian Garza who had been arrested previously for similar charges.
KAMC news reports that the federal court documents state Garza was accused of sending images that showed a child under the age of 12-years-old being sexually abused. Garza was arrested on February 10, 2022 and was then rearrested on October 20, 2022 and charged with Possession of Child Pornography. It wasn't until January of 2023 that Garza was indicted for that February arrest.
Garza was charged with Receipt and Distribution of Child Pornography and Possession of Child Pornography Involving a Prepubescent Minor. As per the publishing of this article Garza remains in custody at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a United States Marshall Remand.
