The Lubbock County Tax Assessor and Collector has been appointed to a board by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

According to a press release on Thursday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott appointed Ronnie Keister to the Texas County and District Retirement System Board of Trustees  this week. Keister's term is set to expire on December 31, 2029.

Keister is the Lubbock County Tax Assessor and Collector and has served in that role since 2009. The board he was appointed to exists to provide county and district employees with retirement, disability, and survivor benefits.

Also announced this week to the Texas County and District System Board of Trustees were Susan Fletcher of Frisco and Mary Louise Nicholson of Fort Worth according to KAMC.
