Lubbock’s Mugshot Monday: 46 Arrested During the Week of Leap Day

Leaplings and Miscommunication

It's 2024 and that means this year is a leap year and February 29th has come to see another fourth year of life. There were a few babies born during February 29th and were adorned with cute frog beanies while in the hospital making them officially leaplings. While those leaplings were jumping into life one incident that occured the day before had many people talking about a restaurant but it was all not true. There was talk that a shooting occurred at a classic, and delicious restaurant in Lubbock known as Garcia's but that is actually not true. There was a lot of miscommunication between a local news station and the public that it caused quite a concern but our own Renee Raven had the facts on what actually happened.

Muscles and a Show

While we love Garcia's restaurant one group of athletes had to wait before they could try the amazing food from the local restaurant until they were done posing in the Hub City Classic. This was the third time the bodybuilding show had been held in Lubbock by the Natural Fit Federation. The show itself was a great example of strength and precision but also artistically well done to the point it was almost a dance. If you love dancing and performing though Buddy Holly Hall also announced their next upcoming list of performances for the 2024 - 2025 year. With all these shows who can't help but love living in Lubbock.

These 46 mugshots are of individuals arrested and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center during the week of February 26 - March 3, 2024. The individuals charged should be presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. All arrestees featured below are those charged with a felony offense. A felony offense is classified by the severity of punishment, ranging from the low level state jail felony all the way to a capital felony. Also featured are any individuals who were held on a Fugitive Warrant or Detainer, a United States Marshall Remand, or Immigration Customs Enforcement Detainer.
