We are in the full swing of Summer which means it's hot and you are sheltering from the sun but if you are too busy to check the news because of the heat we have some things you need to know.

Food and Sticky Fingers

Everyone eats and Lubbock, along with the surrounding counties, have lots of choices to choose from such as a big chain or something local. There is currently a local restaurant, Rachael's Restaurant, in Lubbock that has captured the hearts of many as they are located in South Lubbock and serve some of the best breakfast burritos on that side of town. Sitting down in a restaurant is amazing because a certain type of feeling comes from that experience but some local residents have confessed to having some sticky fingers.

Dozens of locals did reveal that they had stolen items from local restaurants which seems to be a regular thing. If you want to avoid the temptation of sticky fingers then you could try a food truck instead, they are everywhere. One food truck does seems to be in high demand and everyone wishes it was everywhere and that's Las D'licias. This food truck serves some of the best birria in West Texas you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

It's All Scary

I recently declared it Halloween time but some people believe that it's not spooky time and instead just a full summer time. I do disagree because it's summer and some scary things are out there, like spiders. I personally love spiders but Texas does have two spiders that can cause a big punch to your life points, so take precaution and give them space.

Spiders are scary to some people but personally choppy water where you can't see the bottom frightens me a bit. One Texas mayor decided to float down the Brazos River while it was a full on brown color and recorded the whole thing to TikTok. While I do love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory I will not be Augustus Gloop floating down the river of chocolate this summer.
