We are officially in the beginning of summer, break that is which, means all the kiddos are out running around or working a summer job which leaves parents wondering what to do. Well one thing to do is take those kiddos out and educate them on what good music is along with some of the tastiest food trucks.

That right enjoy the Buddy Holly Center Summer Showcase as The Eddie Beethoven Band hits the stage again this year with the five member rock 'n' roll band. That means Jamie Moreno is back on drums, Denzil Warner is the man on the bass, along with guitar playing Tony Adams and his wife Mindy Adams on the Hammond organ. You can't have a band without a lead singer, and the bands name sake, sing and song-writer Eddie Beethoven.

Like I do every week I gave the band a small preview to see where their music takes mentally and I loved the journey. I listened to Next House on the Right and loved the sound the band was putting out as it took me to a very nostalgic and rustic bar and grill (maybe The Spoon?). Well it's very obvious that the more time the band spends together the more they just become one powerhouse of a band just oozing talent in any way possible.

The Eddie Beethoven Band will play from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Buddy Holly Summer Showcase, located in the Meadows Courtyard at the Buddy Holly Center. Chairs, picnic blankets, pets, outside food and beverages are not allowed but the Lemon Love LBK and Rollin Woodfired Pizza food trucks will be serving food.

More information about The Eddie Beethoven Band and where they will be playing next can be found online or on their social media page. Admission is free to the public and there will be plenty of activities for kids.
