Big Tex Named An Honorary Alumnus of Texas Tech University

Texas Tech University may have the tallest alumnus in all of Texas and the United States. The State Fair of Texas opened on Friday morning and Big Tex welcomed visitors as he normally does.

But for Texas Tech and even Big Tex this was no ordinary morning. Texas Tech University has an exhibit that visitors will be able to see featuring 100 years of the university.  Texas Tech's Centennial Exhibition can be seen in the historic Hall of State at the State Fair of Texas.

But that wasn't the only thing Big Tex announced on Friday. Big Tex also announced that he has been named an honorary alumnus of Texas Tech University. Both videos were posted on X.

The State Fair of Texas runs September 29 through October 22 in Dallas. The exhibit is free with fair admission.
