Retailers At South Plains Mall Seeking Seasonal Workers For Busy Holiday Shopping
The holidays are coming, which means Christmas music, peppermint-flavored everything and the annual realization that all those presents aren't going to pay for themselves.
Fortunately, South Plains Mall is getting ready for the holiday shopping season with a hiring fair, and a bunch of stores are looking for extra help.
Even better, some applicants could potentially walk away with a job the same day.
South Plains Mall's Holiday Hiring Fair Is Coming Up
South Plains Mall is offering both virtual and in-person ways to find a seasonal job this year.
The Virtual Hiring Fair runs October 1st through October 10th, allowing job seekers to browse available positions online before ever heading to the mall.
Then, on Saturday, October 10th, South Plains Mall will host its in-person Holiday Hiring Fair from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Grand Court.

Hiring managers from multiple stores will be there, with on-the-spot interviews and immediate hiring opportunities available.
So maybe don't show up wearing the pajama pants you normally wear to wander around the mall.
Which Lubbock Stores Are Hiring?
Quite a few.
Participating retailers include Adventure Time Express, Build-A-Bear Workshop, BoxLunch, Bath & Body Works, Lovisa, Maurices, JCPenney, PINK, Shoe Palace, Victoria's Secret and Zales, with additional retailers expected to participate.
That's a pretty broad selection of jobs, particularly for students or anyone looking to make some additional money during November and December.
And let's face it: Retailers can use the help.
Once Black Friday arrives, working at the mall can occasionally feel like you've been dropped into a very festive combat zone.
You Can Start Looking Right Now
You don't have to wait until October 10th to see what's available.
South Plains Mall's virtual hiring event is already underway, with available positions posted through the mall's online job listings.
You can browse those openings at South Plains Mall's Jobs Page.
The mall says the event is open to students, recent graduates and anyone looking for a new employment opportunity, with seasonal positions increasing as retailers prepare for the busiest shopping period of the year.
