Texas Wildlife: Don’t Miss The Panhandle Wildlife Conference

Texas is filled with life that is very hard to miss and that's why one conference is bringing many people together for the first time since the 1990's. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Texas Wildlife Association, and the Department of Natural Resources Management at Texas Tech University have come together to host the Panhandle Wildlife Conference.

This conference is an opportunity for people to learn about different wildlife in the Texas Panhandle from the professionals that study them. There will be a variety of things to discuss such as panhandle-specific projects, available resources, and different processes that landowners are using when it comes to the impact of wildlife. There will also be representatives from the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Pheasants Forever-Quail Forever, the Ceaser Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute, Texas Wildlife Association, and more.

This is a two day event that will be held on Thursday, February 1, and Friday, February 2, at the National Ranching Heritage Center. Tickets for this conference can be purchased online with early bird pricing available for tickets until January 15. General admission is $75, $50 for students, and for that first day includes lunch and dinner by the Chuckwagon Dinner.
