Texas Tech University is home to a beautiful garden and greenhouse that not everyone knows about. It isn’t only a place for students to learn about horticulture, but it is also a place you can visit to enjoy a bit of nature in a unique environment here in the Hub City.

I personally love visiting the garden to take photos and see what sort of butterflies or other creatures are hanging out with the flowers. This Friday, you can visit the garden not only to appreciate it, but to also buy some plants of your own.

Friday, March 31, 2023, they will be selling succulents at the greenhouse located at 3340 Main St. The sale will take place from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

They will have a variety of options to choose from, including succulent arrangements, individual plants, peperomia, aloe vera, and more. They will accept cash, cards, and checks, so payment will be easy for everyone.

Succulents are great plants to spruce up any indoor space and are fairly easy to maintain. Most are drought resistant so they don’t need to be watered too often, they can live in high or low-light areas as long as they still get some amount of light, and they are great dorm or apartment plants.

Plus, this sale helps support the great horticulture department at Texas Tech so our community can continue to enjoy their beautiful garden.
