Second Annual Christmas in July Event is Coming to Lubbock

As Lubbock, Texas is surrendering to the heat of the summer, it has many of us daydreaming about the end of the year. Not only do the later months bring us cooler weather, but they also bring everyone’s favorite holidays.

From Halloween to Thanksgiving, and then Christmas, the last three months of the year are truly my favorite.

I am particularly fond of Christmas, although I do adore the fall. Something about the chill in the air, lights adorning the buildings, the smell of pine and peppermint, and the childlike joy it exudes all make me so happy.

If you are like me and want a taste of Christmas joy within the burning summer, then you will be excited for an event coming to Lubbock’s YWCA.

The second annual Christmas in July sip & shop event is happening on July 20th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This is an indoors event with free admission. There will be a variety of local vendors, wine from Adelphos Cellars, food trucks, a covered patio, and a playground. You will also be able to get pictures with Santa.

They are raffling off prizes and you can get tickets to enter the raffle by bringing school supplies, new or slightly used backpacks and lunchboxes, or snacks, to donate to FOUND. Some of the prizes include gift cards to local businesses like Stella’s, Scooter’s, Happy’s, and more.
