Good news Texans! Our neighbors aren't as annoying as they are in other states.

In fact, we are lucky to have some very courteous and well-behaved neighbors.  That is according to a new study by All Star Home. They surveyed 1,979 Americans to find out which cities and states the nosiest neighbors reside in, as well as what practices make tenants and homeowners uncomfortable.

Here are some of the Texas findings...

  • Texas ranks #10 state with the least nosy neighbors.

  • Only 28% of Texas residents report having a neighbor who invites themselves over.
  • Only 14% report having a neighbor who asks inappropriate questions.
  • Only 29% report having a neighbor who watched over a fence and into their house.
  • 46% report having a neighbor who watched them from afar.

So Texas looks pretty good.  I know we've all had the one neighbor that you did not want to run into.  I had one that I'd peek around the corner when I was cutting the grass and then wait until they went into their house.  I know it sounds crazy.  However, along with certain phone calls I make, it is something you have to allot at least 30 minutes to.

  • Memphis, TN, and Louisville, KY, have the nosiest neighbors.
  • Seattle, WA, and Los Angeles, CA, have the least nosy neighbors.
  • When it comes to nosy neighbors, 86% of Americans have had at least one.
  • Nearly 2 in 5 Americans have confronted their nosy neighbors.
  • Out of every 10 Americans, 3 have lived next to neighbors who peek over their fence or into their homes.
