WATCH: Trash Talking Texas A&M Student Nails Field Goal For $50K
The First Big Week Of College Football Kicked Off This Weekend In Texas.
College Football is back in full effect and there's tons of excitement in the Lone Star State for a bunch of schools.
The big excitement of the weekend came out of College Station as the Texas A&M Aggies hosted Notre Dame in a big opening weekend matchup that attracted the popular college football kickoff show "ESPN's College Gameday" to campus.
Aggie Legend Johnny Manziel Was A Guest On The Show.
Thousands of Aggies and Irish fans showed up to watch the pregame show and all of its fun including a guest appearance by former Texas A&M great Johnny Manziel who picked the favored Aggies to win the game.
Unfortunately for Manziel and the rest of the crew who unanimously picked the Aggies to win, the opposite would turn out to be the reality as the Aggies would go on to lose later on that night to the Irish....but not before someone from Aggieland would win big!
Lucas From Houston, An Aggie Freshman Got A Chance To Kick a FG For $50,000.
Lucas is a business major at A&M and was once a high school soccer player. When he was invited to make a FG attempt for a chance to win some cash, he talked a LOT of trash before the attempt saying that it would be easy to make the 33 yard FG.
Well, he missed his first attempt that would have netted him $25,000 but the crowd egged on the hosts to let him get another shot. On the second attempt he sailed it through the uprights and won $50,000 from the show which sent Aggieland into a frenzy.
