Clear Your Arrest Warrant in Tyler With New Court Program
(Mix 93-1) IF you have a warrant for your arrest in Tyler, Texas, or Smith County, Texas, the court system would like to work with you on a solution for your particular situation.
Having a warrant for your arrest lingering over your head is a very unsettling feeling. Always being cautious of your surroundings and where you're going, plus wondering who will see you and could potentially report you to law enforcement. Even more terrifying is the possibility that law enforcement has you under surveillance, watching your movements to make their move and arrest you.
Why Warrants Are Issued in Tyler and Smith County
There are a number of reasons why you could have a warrant out for your arrest: a bench warrant, a fugitive warrant, a capias warrant, or a blue warrant. You could have an arrest warrant issued for failure to appear in court, or not complying with an order, unpaid fines, or any other number of reasons.
If you have a warrant issued for your arrest, it's best to address it directly and resolve the issue with the court. Ignoring it or failing to pay the associated fines can only exacerbate the situation.
How the Warrant Solution Program Works
Enter the Warrant Solution Program. The City of Tyler Municipal Court and Smith County Courts have teamed up to offer this program to those with warrants and who want to clear them up as soon as possible.
The city is offering defendants the opportunity to possibly reduce their warrant fee by $50 on each outstanding case if they voluntarily appear at the Tyler Municipal Court between Monday, October 6, and Friday, October 17.

Steps to Clear Your Arrest Warrant
To take advantage of this program, defendants must first contact the Purdue Brandon Law Firm at (866) 870-8565 for guidance on the appropriate court. The law firm manages case collections for both the Tyler Municipal Court and the Smith County Courts, according to a city press release.
Another option for those with a warrant is to voluntarily appear in person at the Tyler Municipal Court and request a payment plan through the program. Even if you're unable to make a payment through the authorized monthly installment program, you will have the opportunity to address it with a judge to explain your circumstances.

Why You Should Act Quickly
Being proactive and taking care of a warrant will hopefully show that you care about your situation and that you're trying to better it, and hopefully, the judge will notice that too. Unfortunately, we all make mistakes, but taking care of them promptly does and will make a difference in how we're treated by the court system.
