They make quite the couple, Parker and Izzy.

This couple of cute dogs are considered a 'bonded pair' and the Humane Society's Pets Fur People in Tyler would like to keep them together and are looking for a loving East Texas family to adopt them together.

They arrived at the shelter in March of 2024 out of no control of their own. Their previous owners were great to them, but they felt they had to surrender them because of the arrival of their newborn.

Parker and Izzy are pure delights. They have yet to meet a stranger. They enjoy being around children, both young and older as well as getting along with other dogs and cats too.

You don't have to worry about house training them, they already know when to let you know they need to go outside and take care of business.

Izzy is female and is a 9-year-old Welsh Corgi, Pembroke mix. Then there's Parker, an 8-year-old male retriever/Labrador mix. This pair will go home with leashes, collars, and a starter kit of food.

For information on adopting Parker and Izzy call 903.597.2471 or check the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People website. Pets Fur People requires a completed adoption application before arranging a meet and greet.

Check out the animals that are available for adoption. Adoption hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm - closed for lunch 1-2 pm.

The Humane Society’s Pets Fur People is the only brick-and-mortar no-kill shelter in East Texas. Pets Fur People offers routine vaccinations, except for rabies, to the public for dogs and cats. Follow Pets Fur People on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please be a responsible pet owner - spay or neuter your pets. Donations are appreciated.
